Midnightdrifters

1000–4000 mCentral trench · transects D1–D42–4 °C

Zone 02 · Overview

In the midnight zone nothing is collected. Every record is optical: a slow submersible transect, red light only, and hours of footage annotated frame by frame. Most of what we log has no common name yet.

Gelatinous fauna surveyed by low-lux cameras, catalogued without ever surfacing a specimen.
